The Sidewalk Film Festival has announced the lineup for its 24th edition, which will take place from August 22nd – 28th. Butterfly in the Sky, a documentary directed by Bradford Thomason and Brett Whitcomb. The closing night screening has been assigned to Margaret Brown‘s documentary, Descendant, which won a Special Jury Prize at Sundance. This year’s selection at the festival will be compromised of 62 features, 184 short films, 7 episodic projects, and 20 music videos. A special focus for this year’s edition will be local Alabama-based filmmakers and films shot in the state this year. Here is the full list of projects being screened at the 2022 Sidewalk Film Festival:
